Short Biography

Hello, I’m Alex. I’m originally from Scotland but now live in Sheffield, where you can usually find me either playing sport or walking in the Peaks.

I’m a qualified psychologist (Forensic Psychologist) with 10 years’ experience in the NHS and the prison service. As a practitioner, I create a space where you can feel safe and talk about your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.

I use different therapies to help people with:

  • Anxiety, including health anxiety
  • Low mood and self critical thoughts
  • Making sense of trauma
  • Problematic personality traits
  • Challenging relationship dynamics

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. My job isn’t to tell you what to do or feel, but to help you make sense of your experience. With that understanding you can make meaningful and lasting changes that can impact every area of your life.
